This Privacy Policy explains how Inspire Windoors (“Inspire Windoors”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, stores and protects your personal data when you visit www.inspirewindoors.in (the “Website”), submit an enquiry, download a brochure, apply for a job or otherwise interact with us.

We are based in Punjab, India, and we handle personal data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Information Technology Act, 2000 together with the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.

By using the Website or submitting your details through any form on it, you confirm that you have read and understood this Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not submit your personal data to us.

1. Who we are

Inspire Windoors manufactures and installs aluminium and uPVC windows, doors and allied glazing systems. For the purposes of the DPDP Act, Inspire Windoors is the Data Fiduciary that determines how and why your personal data is processed.

2. What personal data we collect

2.1 Information you give us directly

We only ask for what we need in order to respond to you. Depending on which form you use, we collect:

Fields marked with an asterisk on our forms are mandatory — without them we cannot process your enquiry or application. Everything else is optional.

Please do not send us financial information such as card or bank account numbers, or any government identity numbers, through the Website forms. We do not ask for them and the Website is not designed to receive them.

2.2 Information we collect automatically

Like most websites, when you visit us our servers and analytics tools record technical information, including:

  • your IP address and approximate location derived from it;
  • your browser type, operating system, device type and screen size;
  • the pages you view, the time spent on them and the links you click;
  • the website or advertisement that referred you to us; and
  • the date and time of your visit (recorded in our server access logs).

3. Cookies and tracking technologies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device. We use them, along with similar technologies such as pixels and tags, for two purposes:

  • Necessary — to make the Website work, remember your preferences and keep form submissions secure.
  • Analytics and marketing — to understand how visitors use the Website and to measure and improve our advertising.

The third-party tools we currently run on this Website are:

You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Blocking necessary cookies may stop parts of the Website from working correctly.

4. How we use your personal data

We use the personal data described above to:

  • respond to your enquiry, answer your questions and provide a quotation;
  • arrange a site visit, measurement, installation or after-sales service;
  • send you the product brochure or other material you asked for;
  • assess your job application and contact you about the role;
  • publish and moderate comments you submit on our blog;
  • maintain internal records of enquiries and orders, and provide customer support;
  • improve our Website, products and service quality through aggregated analytics;
  • send you information about our products and offers, where you have agreed to receive it; and
  • comply with applicable law and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not rent or trade it with third parties for their own marketing.

We process your personal data on the basis of the consent you give when you voluntarily submit it through a form on the Website, and for the legitimate uses permitted under the DPDP Act — for example, where you have voluntarily provided your data for a specified purpose, or where processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to [email protected]. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of anything we did before you withdrew it, and we may still need to retain certain records where the law requires us to.

6. Who we share your data with

We share personal data only where it is necessary, and only with:

  • Our own staff and authorised dealers, installers and service partners, so they can survey, quote, install or service your windows and doors.
  • Service providers who operate our systems on our behalf, including our web hosting and content-delivery providers, our email delivery service, and Google Workspace (we record enquiry submissions into a Google Sheet using Google Apps Script so that our sales team can follow them up).
  • Analytics and advertising providers, as described in section 3.
  • WhatsApp / Meta, where an enquiry notification is delivered to our team by WhatsApp, as described in section 7.
  • Government, regulatory or law-enforcement authorities, courts, or our professional advisers, where we are required or permitted by law to do so.

Some of these providers are located outside India or store data on servers outside India. Where that is the case, the transfer is made in accordance with the DPDP Act and subject to the provider’s contractual confidentiality and security obligations.

7. Calls, SMS and WhatsApp communication

When you submit an enquiry, the details are also sent to our sales team as a WhatsApp notification so that we can respond quickly. By providing your contact number you agree that we may contact you by phone call, SMS or WhatsApp about that enquiry, even if your number is registered under the National Do Not Call Registry / DND service.

If you would prefer we did not contact you on a particular channel, tell us and we will honour it. You can ask us to stop marketing messages entirely at any time by writing to [email protected].

8. How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected for:

  • Enquiries that do not convert — retained for our sales records and then deleted or anonymised once they are no longer of use.
  • Customer records — retained for the duration of your warranty and any further period required for tax, accounting and legal purposes.
  • Job applications — retained so we can consider you for the current and future suitable openings, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
  • Blog comments — retained while the post remains published, unless you ask us to remove your comment.
  • Analytics data — retained according to the retention settings of the analytics provider concerned.

You may ask us to erase your personal data at any time using the contact details in section 14.

9. How we protect your data

We use reasonable security practices and procedures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data we hold. These include serving the entire Website over an encrypted HTTPS connection, restricting access to our enquiry database to authorised personnel, protecting administrative accounts with individual credentials, and applying security controls at the web-server level.

No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, so while we take these steps seriously we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a personal data breach affecting you, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as required under the DPDP Act.

10. Your rights

Subject to the conditions in the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

  • Access — obtain a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we process it;
  • Correction and completion — have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected or updated;
  • Erasure — ask us to delete your personal data where we no longer need it for the purpose it was collected for and no law requires us to keep it;
  • Withdraw consent — as described in section 5;
  • Nominate — nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity; and
  • Grievance redressal — raise a complaint with us about how we have handled your data, as set out in section 14.

11. Children’s data

Our Website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data of children under the age of 18 without verifiable consent from a parent or lawful guardian, and we do not undertake tracking, behavioural monitoring or targeted advertising directed at children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

The Website contains links to third-party websites and social media profiles, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest and X. This Policy does not apply to those sites. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies before sharing your data with them.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, our technology or the law. The revised version takes effect from the date it is published on this page, and the “Last updated” date at the top will change accordingly. Where the change is significant, we will take reasonable steps to bring it to your attention. Please review this page periodically.
